Prof. Dr. Kaan Orhan

Kaan Orhan is a Professor of dentomaxilloFacial radiology at the Ankara University and a visiting Professor at the Medical University of Lublin, Poland as well as the Regenerative Medicine Department of the University of Bari Aldo Moro in Italy. He was the founder and the chairman of the dentomaxillofacial Radiology Department, Near East University, Cyprus. 

Dr. Orhan received his dental degree in 1998 and completed his PhD and Maxillofacial radiology residency studies in 2002 at the Osaka University Faculty of Dentistry in Osaka, Japan and Ankara University, Faculty of Dentistry.

Dr. Orhan is currently the president of the EADMFR. He is a fellow of American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology (AAOMFR), Japanese Board of Dentomaxillofacial Radiology, European Head and Neck Radiology Society (ESHNR), European society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine and Biology (ESRMB), Turkish Magnetic Resonance Society. He is editor of and reviewer in more than 50 different medical journals. He is co-author and contributor of eight books both in English and Turkish.

In 2020, he received the "Innovative Dentist of the Year" award with his work titled Artificial Intelligence Application in Dentistry. Besides, The Lincoln R. Manson-Hing Honorable Mention Award given by the Oral Maxillofacial Radiology Association of America in 2018 and 2019 among many other awards.

Prof. Dr. Dania Tamimi

Dr. Dania Tamimi graduated with a dental degree from King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. She trained at Harvard School of Dental Medicine and earned a doctorate of medical science (DMSc) and certificate of fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology in 2005. She is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology (ABOMR).

 She is a reviewer and an Editorial Board member for Oral Surgery, Oral Pathology, Oral Medicine and Oral Radiology (OOOO), as well as a reviewer for DMFR, Oral Radiology, Head and Neck, Angle Orthodontist and AJO-DO. She is the lead author on two textbooks: “Specialty Imaging: Dental Implants” (which has been translated to Portuguese and Russian) and “Specialty Imaging: Temporomandibular Joint” (translated to Spanish) and a co-lead author on “Diagnostic Imaging, Oral and Maxillofacial” (translated to Spanish). She lectures nationally and internationally.


She currently runs her oral and maxillofacial radiology private practice in Orlando, Florida.

Prof. Dr. Marcel Noujeim

Dr. Marcel Noujeim is a professor in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology (OMFR). He is an alumni of the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA) where he completed his Master of Science (MS) in Dental Diagnostic Science in 2006.

His teaching career in dental radiology spreads over 30+ years where he fulfilled various roles and positions that culminated in heading and directing the Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology graduate program at UTHSCSA between 2008 and 2019. He is also a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology where he serves as the secretary treasurer.

He lead various seminars at national and international meetings and has authored numerous articles and abstracts and is the recipient of multiple international awards. In 2007, Dr. Noujeim started a radiology reading service in the dental school in San Antonio, a service used by hundreds of American and international doctors.

Prof. Dr. Shaza Mardini

Dr. Mardini received her D.D.S. degree from the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in 2001. In  2002 she began a 3 year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology at the University of Texas  Health Science Center at San Antonio. There Dr. Mardini received her M.S. degree and Oral and  Maxillofacial Radiology Certification. In 2006 Dr. Mardini was awarded Diplomate status with the  American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology. 

Dr. Mardini has been involved in teaching since her graduation from dental school, spending a  year at her alma mater Arthur A. Dugoni University of the Pacific. She later joined the faculty at  Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine as a Clinical Assistant Professor. She spent  time teaching in both the Radiology and Emergency Clinics as well as being Course Director for  the first year dental radiology course. Dr. Mardini then entered private practice teleradiology but  continued to teach providing continuing education courses. 

Dr. Mardini is the Immediate Past-President of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial  Radiology and served 6 years with the board. She also holds committee positions within the  American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology. She has been involved in research and  publications on topics such as the Temporomandibular Joint and has a special interest in forensic  dentistry and craniofacial growth. Dr. Mardini has been in private practice with BeamReaders for  14 years and as of April 2022 has accepted a faculty position in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology  at Lincoln Memorial University in Knoxville, TN. 

In her spare time Dr. Mardini enjoys spending time with her 2 children and husband, traveling, cooking  and scuba diving. 

 

Prof. Dr. Noura Alsufyani

Dr. Noura Alsufyani is a consultant in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology. She received her Bachelor’s degree from King Saud University, Saudi Arabia, her Master’s degree and specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology from University of Toronto, Canada, and PhD in Dentistry from University of Alberta, Canada. She obtained a diploma in forensic human identification from the Academy of Forensic Medical Sciences, UK.

She is a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a diplomate of the American Academy of Oral & maxillofacial radiology.

Currently, she is an associate professor at King Saud University, Saudi Arabia, and an adjunct professor at the University of Alberta, Canada.

She is active in research and published work on upper airway, maxillofacial diagnoses, and dental education.

Prof. Dr. Mona Salah Fayed

Professor Dr. Mona Fayed, Professor of Orthodontics, Faculty of Dentistry, Cairo University, has obtained her graduate degree, masters and PhD in Orthodontics from Cairo University, Egypt. She has also had the opportunity to work as a visiting researcher at the University of Bern, Switzerland, where she was awarded a Doctorate degree in Orthodontics.

She is currently the program director for the Masters degree, the head of the International Orthodontic Program (MOrth Program) at Cairo University, and the Head of Department at MSA University in Egypt. She has worked as an international professor at University Malaya, Malaysia. In 2020, she has graduated from an executive program in healthcare leadership from Harvard Medical school.

She has practiced orthodontics since 1995. Prof. Fayed has published more than 80 national and international publications with  special interests in tooth movement, functional appliances , temporomandibular disorders and cleft lip and palate management. She has presented her research work in many national and international conferences.

Dr. Nora Saif

Dr. Nora Saif is an Associate Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology at the Faculty of Dentistry, Cairo University. She graduated from Cairo University where she also completed her Master of Science (MSc) in Dental Medicine, Diagnostic Science and Periodontology and her PhD degree in Oral & Maxillofacial Radiology. 

Over 20 years of her teaching career in OMFR, she has designed and directed a number of OMFR under grraduate and graduate programs and is currently heading the OMFR department at Future University Egypt.

Dr. Nora Saif has a passion for research and her main scope of published work and current research work is 3D dental image processing and manipulation. 

In 2022, Dr. Nora Saif founded the Egyptian Maxillofacial Radiology Alliance. She lectures nationally and internationally.

Dr. Farid Medhat Farid

Dr. Farid graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry, Cairo University where he continued his academic career and completed a Masters degree in Oral Surgery and a PhD degree in Oral & Maxillofacial Radiology.

Dr. Farid is currently an associate professor in the department of Oral & Maxillofacial Radiology, Cairo University where he teaches and supervises a number of postgraduate programs.
He passed the American dental board exam and he has many publications addressing the various application of CBCT in dentistry.

Dr. Farid has been also running his private dental clinic for more than 20 years where he applies all imaging modalities in his treatment planning based on his strong radiological background.

Dr. Dina Ahmed Fahim

Dr. Dina Fahim graduated with a Dental Degree from Cairo University, Cairo, Egypt. She trained at both Cairo University and University of Toronto and received her MSc and PhD in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology in 2008 and 2014 respectively from Cairo University.

Currently, she is acting as an Associate Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology at Cairo University and is involved in teaching a number of undergraduate and graduate courses of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology at both Cairo and Future University in Egypt. She is also acting a course director of a number of undergraduate and graduate courses.

Dr. Dina Fahim is also supervising a number of Masters and Doctorate students in different departments pursuing their graduate degree. Dr. Dina Fahim is actively involved in supervising the Oral Maxillofacial Radiology Clinic at Cairo University as well as training of under and postgraduate students to write radiographic reports. She also has a number of national and international publications.

Dr. Ahmed Abdelsamad

Ahmed Mohamed Abd Alsamad is an Associate Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology – Faculty of Dentistry - Cairo University – Egypt as well as head of CBCT unit in one of the most famous radiology centers in Egypt.

Dr. Ahmed’s 15 years scientific background as well as his passion of teaching in addition to his experience with the market needs give him the privilege in teaching radiology.

Dr. Ahmed graduated from faculty of Dentistry in 2002 and had his doctor’s degree in 2012 then he followed this with advanced research in different fields of oral and maxillofacial radiology with special interest in CBCT applications.
